Founding and Early Years

Flautt Law Office was established in the early 1950s by George W. Flautt, a distinguished attorney whose career was marked by dedication and public service. George W. Flautt, born on July 21, 1926, laid the foundation for the firm as a sole practitioner, bringing his expertise and commitment to the legal field to serve his community effectively.

George W. Flautt’s Career & Legacy

George W. Flautt, a veteran of the Army and World War II, graduated from the University of Cincinnati Law School in 1951 and quickly built a reputation as a skilled and honorable lawyer. His career extended beyond private practice; he was deeply involved in public service as Perry County Prosecutor from 1961 to 1984. His legal acumen and dedication led him to the bench, where he served as Judge of the Perry County Court of Common Pleas from 1986 until his passing on May 24, 1990.

During his tenure, George W. Flautt was not only a practicing partner at the firm but also a pillar of the legal community, leaving an indelible mark on both his clients and the legal landscape of Perry County.

Transition and Continued Success

Prior to and following George W. Flautt's passing, his legacy continued through his family. In 1980, his son, Joseph Flautt, became a partner at Flautt Law Office, bringing his own vision and dedication to the practice. Joseph, continuing the family tradition of legal excellence, played a crucial role in the firm's development and its ongoing success.

In 2012, the firm saw the addition of a new generation with the arrival of William Flautt, Joseph’s son and George's grandson. William joined the practice, ensuring that the firm’s legacy would continue with a new perspective while maintaining the core values established by his grandfather and father.
